Guinea World Skin Health Day 2025

International Congress of Dermatology

From January 17th to 24th, 2025, the new edition of the World Skin Health Day took place in Guinea. This scientific event is under the aegis of the WHO and is organized under the auspices of the International League of Dermatological Societies (ILDS) and the International Society of Dermatology (ISD).

This event was divided in two parts:

  • First a humanitarian part to deliver free skin care to the people of Boké’s prefecture.
  • A free congress accredited by UEMS, which gathered more than 300 worldwide expert speakers from the academic dermatology field.

This is with great pleasure that the Fondation René Touraine has renewed its support to this event. On this occasion, 2 speakers, Prof Dr Skov (Denmark) and Prof Dr Frez (Philippines) gave a lecture on behalf of SPIN.r Dr Skov (Danemark) et le Pr Dr Frez (Philippines) ont donné une conférence au nom de SPIN.

Partnership with the Fondation Française de l’Ordre de Malte

Thanks to our partnership with the Fondation Française de l’Ordre de Malte, the development of three dermatology treatment rooms for children, suffering from serious rare diseases (epidermolysis bullosa…) and severe burns, is progressing despite the difficulties and delays related to the international situation.

In Tunisia, the Sfax hospital is awaiting donation authorization from the Ministry of Health. In Lebanon, the Hôtel Dieu de France Hospital in Beirut is two years behind schedule in its development program. In Egypt, the Damietta University Hospital has expressed interest, and the next step is to develop the premises to house the specialised equipment.
